Essentials of Linguistics

We propose to adapt an Open Educational Resource for a high enrolment first-year course: Introduction to Linguistics. The resource includes video and written content, exercises with solutions, and quizzes covering the core areas of theoretical linguistics (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics), with a focus on Canada, including Canadian English and Indigenous languages of Canada.
