Expanding the Francophone OER community: A Recap of the Francophone Open Education Resources (OER) Seminar

The first ever Francophone Open Education Resources Seminar served as an opportunity for educators, librarians, instructional designers, students, government representatives and administrators from across Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba to share, showcase and further develop the Francophone open education community.  Attendees were treated to keynotes by Nicolas Boivin, professor at Univeristé de Quebec – Trois Rivières and eCampusOntario CEO, David Porter. The seminar provided attendees the opportunity to explore how the use of OER can empower educators and expand the availability of original French-language content for francophone students.

After a full day of sharing knowledge and experience, we look forward to seeing how these ideas expand and develop across Canada’s francophone community.
